Yes. You can create and customize a QR code before signing in. Your 7-day trial starts with your first saved QR code, barcode or smart link. It includes up to 5 saved items, plus PNG, SVG and PDF downloads. After it ends, a membership is required to create new items, download saved codes and keep dynamic links active. Repeatedly downloading an existing saved code does not use another slot. You do not need a credit card to create a free account.
Why do I sign in before downloading?
Your code is saved to QR codes first, so you can find it again, organize it and download another format later. Click Save QR code below the preview, sign in or create an account, and we’ll continue saving your current content and design. Download is available from its entry in QR codes.
Do my QR codes expire?
Static QR codes store the encoded content directly and have no built-in Scanvoya expiration. If they point to a website or file, that destination must remain available. Dynamic QR codes use a hosted redirect: the service, domain and link must remain active. You can pause a dynamic link, schedule when it starts, set an expiration, or limit its total visits.
Can I change a link after the QR code is printed?
Yes, if you created it as a dynamic QR code. Update its destination in your workspace and the printed pattern stays the same. A static QR code has a fixed encoded destination; changing that destination requires creating and printing a new code.
How do you check whether a design is readable?
The editor checks the current QR image after changes settle. Two independent scan engines read it at standard and small sizes, and their results must match the intended content. Downloads from QR codes check the saved image before export. Digital checks help catch design problems; physical size, material, lighting and camera quality still matter, so test your final printed version with a phone.
Which files can I download, and can I use them commercially?
You can download PNG, SVG and PDF files without added watermarks. Use PNG for digital placements, SVG when your design tool needs scalable vector artwork, and PDF for print layouts. You can use your generated codes on menus, packaging and marketing materials. Only upload logos or images you have permission to use.
How does Scanvoya measure website usage?
Our own daily aggregate counts cover page views and key actions, without analytics cookies, visitor IDs, IP addresses, form contents or complete URLs, and are kept for 365 days. When enabled, Google Analytics runs only with your permission and uses cookies and browser identifiers to measure visits, traffic sources and actions. We send fixed page names and action types, not your QR content, destination URLs, email or passwords. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Your workspace’s dynamic-link analytics are separate.
What should I know about saved content and scan data?
Saved QR designs and uploaded files are stored with your workspace. An uploaded file’s public share link can be opened by anyone who has it, so only share content intended for that audience. Hosted dynamic links record visits for analytics, including time, device category, browser and referral source. Scans of direct static QR codes do not pass through Scanvoya; the destination website may have its own analytics.
